† Within Temptation †

Within Temptation adalah Band rock / metal dari Belanda.Band ini didirikan pada tahun 1996 oleh vokalis Sharon den Adel dan gitaris Robert Westerholt. Musik mereka digambarkan sebagai symphonic metal, gothic metal meskipun dalam sebuah wawancara, den Adel mengatakan mereka jatuh ke dalam sebuah batu simfoni genre dengan berbagai pengaruh, dan dalam wawancara dengan 3VOOR12 kemudian, Sharon menyatakan bahwa "kita menganggap diri kita lebih sebuah band rock simfoni ... kita menurut pendapat saya tidak ada band gothic".

Setelah merilis album pertama mereka adalah Enter, band ini menjadi menonjol dalam adegan bawah tanah. Namun hal itu tidak sampai 2001 bahwa mereka menjadi dikenal oleh masyarakat umum, dengan satu "Ice Queen" dari album Mother Earth, yang mencapai # 2 di tangga lagu. Sejak saat itu, band ini memenangkan Conamus Exportprijs lima tahun berturut-turut . Album berikutnya The Silent Force debutnya di # 1 pada tangga lagu Belanda, seperti yang dilakukan terbaru mereka, The Heart of Everything. . Pada tahun 2008 mereka merilis DVD live dan CD, Black Symphony, direkam dengan Metropole Orchestra.

Pada tanggal 11 Agustus 2009 Within Temptation mengumumkan bahwa mereka akan merilis sebuah album live akustik yang terdiri dari set dari tur teater mereka, berjudul An Acoustic Night At The Theatre.

Dalam sebuah wawancara baru-baru ini, Sharon Den Adel menyatakan bahwa album baru akan dirilis sekitar Oktober 2010.
